Claude for Small Business: 15 ready-to-run workflows inside QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, and more

Anthropic launched Claude for Small Business on May 13, 2026. It is not a new subscription tier. It is a plugin — a toggle install inside Claude — that connects to the tools you already pay for and runs agentic workflows on your behalf. Nothing sends, posts, or pays without your explicit approval.

What the plugin actually does

Claude for Small Business ships with 15 ready-to-run agentic workflows and 15 underlying skills that activate automatically when a workflow needs them. The six workflow categories are finance, operations, sales, marketing, HR, and customer service.

The finance workflows are where the product is most specific. The payroll planner pulls your QuickBooks cash position against incoming PayPal settlements, builds a 30-day forecast, ranks overdue items, and queues reminders — all submitted to you for approval before anything moves. The month-end close workflow reconciles your books against settlements, flags discrepancies, writes a plain-English profit and loss summary, and produces a close packet you can forward directly to your accountant. Other finance workflows cover invoice chasing, margin analysis, and tax-season prep.

On the sales side, the lead triager reads your HubSpot pipeline, scores and ranks incoming leads against your criteria, and drafts the first outreach. The content strategist pulls from your Canva brand kit and proposes a content calendar with ready-to-edit visuals.

HR workflows include an onboarding packet builder and a hiring assistant. Customer service workflows cover sentiment analysis across inbound messages and automated reply drafts.

The 8 integrations

The plugin connects to eight platforms at launch: Intuit QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Slack. You authorise each connection from the plugin settings screen. Claude reads from and writes to these tools inside the workflow — it does not require you to copy data manually between systems.

The connectors add no incremental charge on top of your Claude plan. Your existing SaaS subscriptions (QuickBooks, HubSpot, etc.) remain separate.

The 15 skills under the hood

Below the 15 named workflows are 15 building-block skills that fire automatically when a workflow calls for them: cash-flow forecasting, margin analysis, lead triage, invoice chasing, contract review, customer sentiment, tax prep, hiring packet builder, CRM cleanup, Canva creator, business pulse, call list builder, onboarding writer, proposal drafter, and expense categoriser.

You can also invoke any skill directly without running a full workflow. Ask Claude to run a contract review on a DocuSign document you have open, for example, and the skill activates on its own.

Approval is always required

Every workflow is owner-initiated and approval-based. Claude proposes, drafts, and queues. You approve before anything goes out. The payroll reminders do not send until you tap approve. The month-end close packet does not go to your accountant until you confirm it. This design choice keeps automation practical without adding risk.

Pricing

Claude for Small Business requires an active Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). The plugin itself costs nothing extra. You enable it from the plugins section in your Claude settings, authorise the connectors you want, and the workflows are immediately available.

AI Fluency training

Anthropic partnered with PayPal to launch AI Fluency for Small Business, a free online course on using AI to run a small business. The physical component of the launch included a hands-on tour starting May 14 in Chicago, offering free half-day workshops for small business owners who want help getting set up.

How to get started

Open Claude, go to plugins, search for Small Business, and install the plugin. On the next screen, connect the integrations that are relevant to your business. Start with the workflow that covers the task you find most time-consuming — payroll prep if finance is the bottleneck, lead triager if sales follow-up is the drag. Run it once with your real data, review the output, and approve or edit before anything leaves Claude.

The workflows are genuinely ready to run. You do not need to write prompts or configure anything beyond the connector authorisations.
